Type Locality and Naming
Near the village of Kibray, Prishchent District. F.P. Korsakov, 1965 (240, p. 88). Due to its limited distribution, its use is not recommended
Synonym: Kibray Horizon, Кибрайский гор.
Lithology and Thickness
Interbedded sandstones and conglomerates with subordinate siltstone (aleurolites) and clays of brick-red color. Thickness several dozen meters.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
It lies conformably on the Chulin Fm
Upper contact
It is conformably overlain or overlain with erosion by the Chirchik Gr.
Regional extent
Exposed in boreholes in the Prishchent District. Upper part of the Kelse Fm (166; 444). B.I. Pinhasov includes it in the composition of the Oligocene-middle Miocene Chulin Fm.
